An Idea in Decorating Your Space - Basic Design Principle

Was truly amazed and agrees to the principles used in decorating your home featured by Lifehacker. An article written by Kristin Wong seems to cover it all.

Follow the Rules of Odd Numbers

The Rule: The basic idea of the rule is that details and objects that are arranged or grouped in odd numbers are more appealing, memorable, and effective than even-numbered pairings.

This is just to basically group the objects in varying heights, texture and shape. But there should be something similar about them that groups them together.

As an illustration - 3 Vases in different different heights, different content but the main material are the same. Going further, notice the subtle differences in elements (contents) - texture of limes, candle and the leaves.
